STUDIO TERMS

Welcome to Spit! We are passionate about providing an outstanding recording experience and a finished product you will be proud of.

Please review the following terms before joining us in the studio.

1. A 2 hour minimum of booking time is required.


2. 50% of the total session charge must be paid as a
NON-REFUNDABLE deposit before the session will be booked.


3. Additional mixing, mastering, or services beyond the session time will need to be
scheduled and a deposit must be made according to the same terms as (2.)


4. Payment can be made via Cash, Credit, Debit, Paypal or Apple Pay


5. Your time is YOUR time. Your session starts at the agreed time and so does the clock. If
you are late or present it does not matter; once the clock starts so does the consumption of
your time. There will not be an extension o
f time because of tardiness.


6. Sessions may or may not be extended at the discretion of the engineer as long as other
booked studio time permits– all payments must made in full before extending any
sessi
on.


7. Your time is YOUR time. If you require a bounce of your song(s), you must allow the
engineer ample time-within your session-to process the bounce and email.


8. Your time is YOUR time. If you expect to have a commercially ready mix or master of
your audio you must allow the engineer ample time. A 5 minute mix will sound like a 5
minute mix. Additional payment may be requested for additional time needed to make
any revisions.


9. Engineers will not provide any mix data to the client or the DAW session containing the mix.

With that being said the paying client owns the audio stem files, but they do not own the mix data

nor the session data which is owned by the studio.  If you would like to have the stem files

please ask the engineer during you session.


10. If an engineer provides services which would be reasonably associated with the duties of
a producer, including but not limited to vocal arrangement, harmonization, and/or any
other input related to the clients song(s) they must be individually credited as producer on
the credits associated with the song(s).


11. Clients are responsible for backing up their audio files off site. SPIT shall delete client
data after 30 days following the session.


12. All payments are due in full before any audio files are released.


13. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 are permitted in the studio – NO
EXCEPTIONS.


14. All food and open beverages must be contained to the kitchenette area.


15. No smoking cigarettes within the building. Smoking is permitted outside of the building.


16. If you plan to bring guests, groups larger than 4 people must be approved by the studio.
Additional fees may be charged.


17. All clients are responsible for themselves and their guests. Any damages or injuries that
occur to SPIT Philly or its’ staff due to the actions of the client or guest is the
responsibility of the client. (You break it, you buy it).


18. Inappropriate, unprofessional conduct from any client or guest will result in immediate
termination of the session.
Those individuals will be asked to leave the property. This
also forfeits any payments made or monies deposited to Spit Philly. All audio will be
emailed as is back to the client.

19. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy: All deposits are non-refundable.

If a session is canceled, the deposit is forfeited.

Clients may reschedule up to 24 hours before the session;

any changes within 24 hours will result in the forfeiture of the deposit,

and a new session must be booked through the website.
